Mechanics
Under concrete pressure, TALLEAS must safely withstand bending stresses while ensuring minimal deflection. Compared to traditional plywood formwork panels or conventional solid plastic panels, TALLEAS offers superior structural performance.
TALLEAS is characterized by high compressive strength, minimizing damage caused by placing equipment or materials on the panel surface.
The hybrid load bearing layers reinforced with continuous fibers enhance dimensional stability, improving fitting accuracy and potentially eliminating the need for a silicone joint.
Surface
TALLEAS incorporates a proven wood fiber reinforced surface layer that is fully welded across the entire panel. As a result, TALLEAS provides scratch resistance comparable to phenolic resin surfaces and outperforms conventional solid plastic panels.
Combined with its high abrasion resistance, this significantly extends the service life of the panel in concrete applications.
The specially matt finished surface delivers a best in class low gloss level, ensuring a uniform and aesthetically pleasing concrete finish.
Sustainability
For TALLEAS, we provide Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) covering the entire lifecycle, from manufacturing through to end of life.
For example, the carbon footprint calculated for a TALLEAS wall formwork panel over a 7 year service life (life cycle stages A1–C4) amounts to 45 kg CO₂/m² (excluding benefits, i.e. credits from recycling or recovery). This corresponds to 6.4 kg CO₂/m² per year of service life and 0.54 kg CO₂/m² per month of service life.
CO₂-Reduction
TALLEAS reduces its carbon footprint through a core made from 100% recycled plastic, an extended service life, and complete recyclability at the end of use. Compared to conventional solid plastic panels, CO₂ savings of more than 50% are achievable, while savings of more than 70% are possible compared to plywood panels. This supports the circular economy and contributes to the sustainable conservation of natural resources.
