Account Manager Commercial Construction Sales

Job Description

Summary Of Position

The Account Manager will develop and maintain a sales territory consisting of a defined sales goal, which may be subject to change. He/she will be accountable for retaining existing accounts and growing business while maintaining strong and trusting partnerships with customers.  He/she will be a strategic partner in expanding Form-on USA’s presence within the designated territory and will be accountable for maximizing sales that broaden Form-on USA’s position in the Southeast region of the US.

This position will be based in Form-on’s Southern Florida office.

Responsibilities 

  • Identify potential customers and make cold calls that result in meetings and convert prospects into actual sales. 
  • Develop both new and existing accounts and expand business through face-to-face contact with the customers.
  • Maintains a customer/prospect database that contains the names, addresses and actual phone numbers of actual and prospective accounts as well as all of the names of the officers, key office and field personnel that represent these customer/prospects. Regularly uses and maintains customer/prospect database (Victori). 
  • Communicates clearly and collaborates with engineering, as required, to ensure accurate proposals.
  • Prepares proposals and obtains appropriate managerial approval. 
  • Drafts final proposals, ensuring management approval and customer signatures are obtained.
  • Presents proposals while selling the features and benefits of Form-on products to close sales.
  • Ensures that the customer is satisfied with the equipment and the production he/she is obtaining and einsures proper recording and coordination of shipments and returns. 
  • Accountable for all credit interactions with the customer including obtaining contractor approval of invoices, making adjustments through credit requests and ensuring prompt payment, as well as preparing and distributing monthly account status reports. 
  • Accurately and timely completes weekly sales reports and provides information as needed for backlog and sales projections. 
  • Visits job sites as required.  
  • Continually builds product knowledge.
  • Assists in ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment. 
  • Some overnight travel as required. Additionally, he/she may be called upon to make sales or service calls outside of the designated territory as needed.
  • Collaborates with management to ensure company and branch sales initiatives are aligned and achieved.

Qualifications/Technical Proficiency

  • Bachelor Degree with a concentration in Business, Engineering or Construction preferred. 
  • 5-7 years outside sales/account management in commercial construction experience required. Previous experience within the concrete forming industry a plus.  
  • Consistently handles confidential information with the highest level of integrity and delivers the highest standards of service to customers.  
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, follow-up and negotiation skills along with a strong numerical aptitude required. 
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks and handles all responsibilities with a strong sense of urgency. 
  • Takes initiative, manages time effectively, and manages and adjusts priorities based on business demands.    
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial construction industry and its marketplace. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. 
  • Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing). Spanish is a plus.
  • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and
    effective selling and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, (Word, Excel and Power Point). 
  • Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques as well as an eagerness to keep abreast of customer, industry and competitor development. 
  • Self-motivated, assertive, team player with a strong work ethic, able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment. 
  • Understands how the sales, business development activities and account management of Form-on USA impact the corporation worldwide.

Problem Solving

This position requires the ability to support the office and serve as a liaison to the customers and sales personnel resolving issues at times on short notice with minimal information.

Communication

Extensive daily interaction with colleagues, management and customers.  Consistently delivers high standards of customer service and communicates effectively.

Mental Effort

This position requires the ability to think strategically.  Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to be organized and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Working conditions of an office environment: dry, cool, and well lighted. At times, visiting the material yard or job site where weather conditions may vary from extreme hot to wet or extreme cold depending on the location and the season.

Operations Associate Customer Service Representative

Job Description

Summary Of Position

The qualified candidate will support and assist management to achieve department and company goals. He/she will partner with Sales to handle all aspects of servicing accounts including but not limited to order processing and invoicing, inventory management, voids, and administration of the daily operations tasks of the Operations Department.

This position will be based in our Southern Florida office.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and maintain all aspects of customer accounts and the order process including product inquiries and follow up, quotation preparation, price calculation as well as transport/delivery management, using an in house order processing system.
  • Proactive communication with customers to ensure that requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with sales personnel regarding order details including product availability, delivery dates, order cancellations, and order status updates. Define product portfolio and sales packages and take part in purchasing of formwork.
  • Identify insufficient inventory and notify logistics/operations personnel to ensure the procurement and equipment transfer process begins immediately. 
  • Able to effectively manage and prioritize tasks in a timely manner.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions 

  • Handle special projects as assigned; including participating in company committees/teams. 
  • Flexible to work additional hours as required
  • Continually build product knowledge.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and business practices.

Qualifications/Technical Proficiency

  • High School Graduate 
  • 1-3 years related experience (customer service, business administration, or logistics preferred).
  • Operations/Customer Service experience in the commercial construction industry a plus.  
  • Associate Degree in Business or related field a plus.  
  • Strong problem resolution skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-up skills along with a strong numerical aptitude required. 
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks and handles all responsibilities with a strong sense of urgency. 
  • Able to manage time effectively, takes initiative, manages and adjusts priorities.   
  • Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Additional foreign languages a plus (Spanish preferred).
  • Qualitative abilities including analytical and effective problem solving skills.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing and able to learn new products, concepts and techniques and computer software
    programs. 
  • Team player able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
